heart of Val d’Isère has retained its old world charm but stylish
shopping arcades and new buildings have been added to cater for skiers
from all over the world. An excellent free
shuttle bus service links the futuristic La Daille area with Val Village
centre and runs out to chalet-style Le Fornet. The excellent new
children’s village at Rond Point des Pistes takes children from 3yrs
to 13yrs. Best for: intermediate and expert skiers.
