Flaine
Purpose-built Flaine,
set below Mont Blanc, has an excellent snow record,
doorstep skiing which is genuinely suitable for all levels, and is an easy drive
from the Channel ports and only 45 miles from Geneva. Flaine has superb
nursery slopes with four free lifts and very good children’s facilities.
Of enormous attraction to intermediates are the links to the three traditional resorts of Samoens, Morillon and Les
Carroz, closeby.
Unusually, for
such a large linked circuit, there are plenty of steep runs and mogul
fields, as well as exceptional off-piste opportunities.
With one of the best funparks in the Alps and a designated kid’s
half-pipe, Flaine is popular, also, with freestylers. Choose from simple,
budget accommodation or independent, Scandinavian style chalets.
Flaine offers plenty of choice.
Grand Massif 1600m-2500m
The
Grand Massif pass covers Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoens and Sixt,
all linked to Flaine by pistes or lifts.
